چکیده

Abstract The North Australian Zinc Belt is the largest zinc-lead province in world, containing three of ten known individual deposits (HYC, Hilton-George Fisher, and Mount Isa). Northern Cordillera America second province, a further two world’s top (Red Dog Howards Pass). Despite this world-class endowment, exploration both mineral provinces during past 2 decades has not been particularly successful, yielding only significant discoveries (Teena, Australia, Boundary, Canada). One most important aspects to choose districts within geological belts that have greatest potential for discovery. Here, we present results from these zinc highlight previously unused datasets area selection targeting. Lead isotope mapping using analyses mineralized material identified gradients μ ( 238 U/ 204 Pb) coincide closely with many major deposits. KUSHK ZINC-LEAD DEPOSIT A TYPICAL BLACK-SHALE-HOSTED DEPOSIT IN YAZD STATE, IRAN

Kushk zinc- lead deposit is located about 167 km east of the city of Yazd, Iran. The geographical location of the mine is 31°, 40' N and 55", 40' E. Different rock types including volcanics and subvolcanics (rhyolites, rhyodacites, dacites, and rhyolitic tuffs) and sedimentary rocks (shale, limestones and dolomites) crop out in the area. Mineralization of the deposit occurs in black shale o...

Zn/Cd ratios and cadmium isotope evidence for the classification of lead-zinc deposits.

Lead-zinc deposits are often difficult to classify because clear criteria are lacking. In recent years, new tools, such as Cd and Zn isotopes, have been used to better understand the ore-formation processes and to classify Pb-Zn deposits. Herein, we investigate Cd concentrations, Cd isotope systematics and Zn/Cd ratios in sphalerite from nine Pb-Zn deposits divided into high-temperature systems...

Investigation on life cycle assessment of lead and zinc production

Lead and zinc production is one of the main predisposing factors of excessive greenhouse gases emissions, air pollution and water consumption. In this paper, the environmental problems of lead and zinc production in Calcimin plant are expressed and life cycle assessment of this plant is assessed. The data regarding the amount of induced global warming and pollution, acidification, and depletion...

Lead Zinc Extraction Processes

Zinc and lead are the two most widely used non-ferrous metals after aluminium and copper as vital materials in everyday life. They are mined and smelted in many countries in both the developed and developing world. Both pyrometallurgical as well as hydrometallurgical methods are used for production of lead zinc depending on the type of raw material used as a charge. In the pyrometallurgical pro...

Lead and Zinc of Afghanistan

Afghanistan sits on the junction between the Indo-Australasian and Eurasian crustal plates and is composed of a series of terranes (Figure 1) that broke away from the main Gondwana supercontinent before colliding with and being accreted on to the Eurasian plate. The accretionary events began in the Cretaceous and have continued until recent times. The Herat or Hari Rod fault, which runs E-W acr...
